Knoxville General Contractors,
Building with Integrity.
I’m Cody. I started Gold’s Carpentry in the spring of 2022 with a truck, a set of tools and a reputation for trim work.

A little over a decade ago, I apprenticed under several talented carpenters in southern Oregon, working on anything from remodels to new builds. The last contractor I worked for especially cared about the details and passed on his love for those details to me.Â

After moving to Knoxville and working as a subcontractor in 2021, I realized there was a real need for more general contractors in the area who prioritized craftsmanship and integrity. I realized my own desire to see the details worked out well all the way through to the end could be applied to entire remodel projects, not just the new staircase or the built-ins. And thus Gold’s Carpentry LLC was born.
Meet Our Team
Â
There are three of us now.
Â
I’m still on site for most of the day. Our lead carpenter, Luke Johnson, helps run projects alongside me and handles some of the scheduling and general oversight.
Â
Our apprentice, Eoin Telling, is learning the trade the way I did: by being trusted with more and more every day.

Cody Gold, Owner
10+ Years in the trade
I typically am on site for roughly 50-75% of the time, working on coordinating subs, ensuring the plan is carried out and ultimately wearing a tool belt and swinging a hammer.
Â
Doing the work is what I fell in love with and what keeps me excited about a given project.

1. Integrity
Who you’ll see
You’ll know before we start who’s working on your project and roughly when they’ll be there. If Luke is starting at eight on Tuesday, you’ll have heard that before Tuesday.

On most jobs it’s the same one or two of us the whole way through; we don’t rotate crews. When we bring in an electrician, plumber, or tile setter, they’re people we work with regularly, not whoever was available.
Where We Work
We work across Knoxville and Knox County, including Sequoyah Hills, Farragut, North Knoxville, Bearden, Fountain City, Powell, Maryville, Lenoir City, Tellico Village, and the surrounding communities.

Knoxville is still small enough that reputation travels, which is a good reason to do things properly and a better reason than most.

If you’re not sure whether you’re in our service range, call and ask.
